Wellesley Massachusetts September 18, 2007 -- Sagent Healthstaff, the nation's premiere travel nurse staffing company since 2001, was a recent sponsor at the annual Vinny Zaccheo Memorial Fund, supporting the American Diabetes Foundation. The Family Fun Day event included a silent auction, 5k road race, local restaurants tasting, and other family fun. The highlight of the days events was the tennis mixed-doubles round-robin mixer held at the Fishkill All Sport on September 9th, 2007. The winners of the tennis event were Liz Graham and George Banta, Jr. from Poughkeepsie, NY.
Over $15,000 was raised and all proceeds will go to local community efforts of the American Diabetes Association.
Vinny Zaccheo, past away from complications as a result of his Type II Diabetes. His family started the Memorial Fund in Vinny’s name to raise awareness and help provide financial funding for local diabetes educational efforts.
Nicole Manglass, Account Manager for Sagent Healthstaff Tri-state Office played a major part in organizing the days tennis events. “As a local resident, an avid tennis player, and friend of Vinny Zaccheo, it was very rewarding to be involved in organizing the tennis portion of the event knowing that the proceeds are coming back to our community. I look forward to helping the event grow next year.”
